Forgiveness ¦ Video

The things I share in this teaching have totally transformed my life, and I do not say that lightly.

Of all the teachings I give as I travel around, this is the one I’ve seen bring the greatest freedom and healing in the lives of believers everywhere.

My prayer is that you will take the time to watch it in full and that as you learn about the true transaction of forgiveness, God would use do a deep work in your heart, and you would enter into a level of freedom that you perhaps never thought was possible.

Being Led by the Holy Spirit ¦ Video

(The video thumbnail is in Serbian but this teaching is delivered in English!)

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. – Romans 8:14

This teaching can take your christian life to the next level. Those who will change the world around them and have the biggest impact for God’s Kingdom are the ones who have learned to be LED by the Holy Spirit.

Key points:

1. It is TOTALLY NORMAL for believers in Jesus to listen to and follow the voice of the Holy Spirit
2. It isn’t enough to be FULL of the Holy Spirit, we should also seek to be LED by the Spirit and operate in the POWER of the Spirit.
3. The Holy Spirit does’t always speak in the way we expect him to speak!
4. The first disciples knew the voice of the Holy Spirit very well
5. The Holy Spirit will not contradict the written word of God
6. When you are seeking God’s will, get advice!
7. You know when you are being led by the Holy Spirit because your life starts to look like the book of Acts
8. Don’t expect God to give you a vision for your life that you can achieve in your natural ability
9. Fear will cause you to shrink back or run away but those who are led by the Holy Spirit step forward in faith.
10. When God is leading you, you see 4 things: An Amazing Adventure, Abundant Fruit, Miraculous Provision and Guaranteed Persecution!

Coronavirus – Our Time to Shine ¦ Video

As followers of Jesus, we need to keep our faith levels high and be an example to those around us during the coronavirus crisis.

Main points:

1. Don’t go into fear or panic. If you have, repent!
2. Remember that storms can wake us up spiritually
3. Make sure you are not trusting in things that can be shaken
4. Trust in Jesus, the one who can calm the storm around you and in you
5. Be careful what you feed your mind on
6. Feed on the Word of God!
7. Let this be a warning to you – a greater shaking is coming and we all need to be ready
8. Stand on the solid ROCK (Jesus) that cannot be moved or shaken
9. Trust in the Lord with all your heart
10. Shine brightly and be a living example of the life of Jesus to the people around you

We all have the opportunity to be in a better state AFTER the covid-19 storm than we were BEFORE the storm!

Key scriptures:

Psalm 62:5-6 – Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

Matthew 8:23-27 – Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

Hebrews 12:25-27See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?

At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”

The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.

How To Fulfil Your Calling ¦ Video

I usually don’t post videos in this way that have two languages (they normally go in the ‘other languages’ section of my website) but on this occasion I felt that this message is SO important for anyone who wants to fulfil God’s call on their life. May God use it to speak POWERFULLY to you.

How to Fulfil Your Calling – Session 1 (from Serbia):

English Powerpoint: Session 1 – ENG
Serbian Powerpoint: Session 1 – SRB

Session 1 is all about how God works on the earth and how we fit into that. If we can understand the Biblical pattern that God follows when He wants to work on the earth, we will be able to recognise when He is calling us to be involved in His work. This teaching is incredibly eye-opening and encouraging.  I believe it will lay a foundation for your life regarding how to enter into the adventure God has for you and most importantly, how to bear the fruit that He created you to bear, according to Jesus’ words in John 15:16:

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last”

How to Fulfil Your Calling – Session 2 (from Serbia):

English Powerpoint: Session 2 – ENG
Serbian Powerpoint: Session 2 – SRB

In session 2 I talk briefly about the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit, as well as how God enables us to operate BEYOND our natural ability. I then cover 7 things that ALL BELIEVERS are called to do, before moving on to how we can find our personal calling. I explain specifically how God wants to guide you in the decisions you have to make, big and small, on a daily basis.

How to Fulfil Your Calling – Session 3 (from Serbia):

English Powerpoint: Session 3 – ENG
Serbian Powerpoint: Session 3 – SRB

In session 3 I talk about 5 things that can hold you back from fulfilling your calling, and how you can overcome all of these things:

1. Feeling of Failure
2. Pride
3. Fear
4. Unresolved Issues
5. Feeling unqualified

In summary, the three things we need to fulfil God’s call on our lives are:

  1. Intimacy with Jesus

Acts 4:13 – When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had BEEN WITH JESUS.

  1. The Word of God

2 Tim 3:16-17 – All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED for every good work.

  1. The Empowerment of the Holy Spirit

Acts 4:31 – After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT and spoke the word of God boldly.

If these teaching have blessed you, share them with someone!

The Promise of peace in the midst of trouble ¦ Devotional

We’re all troubled! Whether it’s something we’ve read in the news, something that’s happening in our personal lives or in the life of a loved one, not a single day goes by without a genuine reason for our souls to be anxious, concerned or worried.

Anxiety affects our minds and our moods, making us less productive and generally stealing our happiness. Ironically, as a result our bodies also suffer, giving us even more reason to be troubled.

Have you ever stopped to think that being “troubled” may not simply be an automatic response to your surroundings or circumstances, but a choice that you make? And if so, could it be that without your circumstances changing one bit, you could be at perfect peace?

Jesus told us plainly in John 14:1, “Do not let your hearts be troubled.”

Forgive me for stating the obvious here, but if Jesus said, “do not let your hearts be troubled”, then it must be possible to not let your heart be troubled! I know what you’re thinking – it’s a lot easier said than done, right?! But the first thing you have to believe is that you have the choice.

Jesus doesn’t leave us with this one-liner and expect us to work the rest out by ourselves. In John 16:33 he says “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

We make a mistake when we think we can’t have peace until our circumstances change. The fact is (and Jesus said it himself) that in this world we will have trouble – there’s no escaping it! But these 6 words offer hope, “in me you may have peace”.

There’s only one place that perfect peace can be found and it’s in Jesus Himself. No matter how ferocious your storm, His peace is perfect because He is forever perfect and constant because He never changes. Even if a measure of peace comes from your circumstances, it will not last very long. Consistent peace can only come from the One who is the same yesterday, today and forever and has promised never to leave you nor forsake you.

If you know your heart has been troubled and you’ve been waiting for peace to come from your circumstances, stop right now. Take your eyes off your circumstances and fix them upon Jesus. He’s calling you to Himself right now with these words, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29).

Prayer: Father God, I thank you that your peace that passes understanding is available for me right now. I’m sorry for allowing myself to be swept away with anxiety and worry by the circumstances that I am facing. I thank you that you know exactly what I’m going through and that even if the storm continues to rage all around me, you are able to calm the storm in me. I want to choose right now to forgive those who are making life difficult for me (take a moment to work through this) and to say sorry to you for my own thoughts, words and actions that have not been right. Jesus, I am choosing to put my whole trust in you, to hand all my burdens over to you and to receive your perfect peace in this moment. Would your peace that passes understanding guard my heart and mind today and every day of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Bonus scripture: You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. – Isaiah 26:3

Speaking the Truth in Love ¦ Video

Could it be that the majority of people on planet earth are deceived about what love is and deceived about what brings true freedom?

I think so.

In this message I speak about:

  1. Making sure you know God’s definition of love.
  2. How the world rejects absolute truth at their peril.
  3. The need to be a good speaker of truth and also a good receiver of it!
  4. How to respond in the right way when we think God is bringing correction to us.
  5. The telling sign that you are a legitimate child of God.
  6. One of the most important but most uncomfortable ways we can love and serve one another.
  7. How to avoid hindering the process of growing into maturity in Christ – personally and as a Body.
  8. How to respond when someone tries to correct you and it isn’t from God!

The Normal Christian Life ¦ Video

Perhaps you, like me have read your Bible and noticed the tremendous gap between the lives of the New Testament believers and our lives?

Join me as we explore this gap and discover 10 key characteristics of those believers. Be encouraged as I seek to spur us all on (especially myself!) to aim to be more like them.

  1. Utterly focused on the Great Commisssion
  2. Wholly dependent on the Holy Spirit
  3. Demonstrated the power of the Holy Spirit
  4. Persecuted
  5. Challenged each other to live to a high standard
  6. Encouraged one another
  7. Looked after orphans and widows
  8. Kept themselves from being polluted by the world
  9. Ridiculously Generous
  10. Recognised by their love for each other

Lord, help us to be more like those believers!
